The upholstery process
Here’s how it works, beginning to end.
Free estimate
You send me several pictures and measurements and I send you a free estimate that includes all materials and labor. If I’ll be using your fabric, this is when I need to know.
Fabric and trim selection
If you aren’t bringing your own fabric to the party, I’ll work with you to select fabric and trim. Fabric is primarily available online as most fabric stores have closed. If you have time, I can secure samples for you to touch and feel.
Deconstruction and reconstruction
I deconstruct your piece in my shop, sew and construct the new elements and put them all together. Wood refinishing is also available.

Fabric selection
The fabric makes the piece. Fabrics are mostly available online these days and samples are often available.
Pattern and measurements
I take measurements and work with you to select the right pattern. I can adjust any pattern to fit.
Cutting and sewing
In my shop, I cut and sew the piece. If necessary, I’ll make a sample first prior to cutting into the good stuff.
Fittings and finishing
If you’re local, I’ll have you into the shop for a fitting prior to the final finishing touches.
